Do You Need a Uganda Overflight Permit?

Applicable foreign-aircraft operations may require prior authorization for flight through Uganda airspace. Operators should confirm the current requirement for the specific aircraft, operator category, route and purpose of flight before dispatch.

Provide complete flight and aircraft information before permit or clearance coordination.

Uganda Overflight Permit Lead Time

Uganda Civil Aviation Authority states that its Aeronautical Information Service publishes data concerning the entire Entebbe Flight Information Region. Entebbe FIR is commonly identified as HUEC in operational flight-planning references. Final routing should be validated against current Uganda AIP/AIS and NOTAM information.

Accurate aircraft, operator and routing information should be used in both the clearance request and operational flight plan. Schedule, aircraft or route changes should be checked for any required amendment.
